It’s love month and it’s my Loves’ month! And since we were still in quarantine, a stay-at-home celebration was the only option. The kiddo requested pizza for breakfast and muffins for snacks. The hubby also got his birthday breakfast and lunch surprise.
I wanted to make their days special so ‘effort’ was an understatement. I took a day off from work for my son’s birthday to prepare pizza for breakfast and bake muffins for snacks while he’s attending his online class. On the other hand, my husband’s birthday fell on a weekend so I had more time to be more elaborate in preparing his breakfast and lunch surprise. A 3-flavor crepe was an extra treat.
I realized how challenging yet satisfying plating is. It’s a relief, however, that their birthdays weren’t on the same day! And takeout food took care of the other meals of the day.
February was lovely! With the usual V-Day and family birthdays, it was like a feast for several days. Our new househelp also celebrated her birthday with us and it’s a pleasure to hear that our family effort also came to her as a surprise.
I’m sharing here also some of the dishes I prepared this festive February.
Beef bulgogi Tokwa’t baboy Pork kare-kare Braised chicken with shitake mushroom Creamy mushroom soup Thai bagoong rie Chili pork adobo
I got tired but was satisfied. Perhaps I overdid it, but my dear ones said I nailed it. As food is my love language, here in the kitchen, happy to serve! 😀
