We occasionally have leftover pizza either for lunch or snacks. But on my first attempt at making pizza all from scratch, the kiddo requested it for breakfast. 😀
But before I embarked on my pizza-all-from-scratch venture, I baked pizza using store bought crust. Since a bigger size crust wasn’t available last time, I had to settle with a small crust and just used pandesal to make use of the rest of the pizza toppings I prepared.
This experience drove me to try making pizza crust from scratch, something I always thought was difficult and complicated.
But I was fortunate to find a simple recipe online which resulted in a ‘perfect’ pizza crust even on my first try. The family loved it and I was even able to share some to a friend who also gave a positive feedback.
In one office occasion a couple of years back, a colleague gave a pizza treat. At that time, I had a ‘love at first bite’ experience with spinach pizza! Thus, with the fool-proof pizza crust recipe I found, I excitedly tried this pizza flavor at once . It’s so timely because my pizza pan finally arrived. While the kiddo’s bet is bacon, mushroom and cheese, he’s used to eating spinach so having it on pizza was never a worry. 😅
A week later, I was able to buy a pizza cutter, which I immediately tried on the latest pepperoni and cheese pizza I baked. What a breeze to make those slices! It was such a joy to also share some with my son’s friend Tres who said he liked it a lot! 😀
It looks like that this will be a weekly regular for us. As an any-time-of-day bread, pizza is relatively easy to make. Exploring various flavors is quite exciting, too!
Be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks, pizza is surely a treat. As to pizza toppings, anything goes in as long as it suits your taste. And for pizza lovers, indulging on your favorite pizza even once a week, I guess, is something you wouldn’t want to miss. ❤
